EASTERN SHORE COLD WATERS SEAFOOD FESTIVALMemory Lane Heritage Village
Welcome to Nova Scotia's newest Seafood Festival! Located on the grounds of Memory Lane Heritage Village in Lake Charlotte, 45 minutes outside Halifax along Nova Scotia’s beautiful Eastern Shore.
The cold clear waters of the Eastern Shore yield some of the best seafood in the province, and now you can sample it at its freshest: Lobsters, Mussels, Clams, and Haddock served a variety of ways, along with traditional heritage foods such as Chowder, Fishcakes and Beans, and Smoked Fish.
Family activities and skills demonstrations such as paint-your-own-buoy, dory rides, net knitting, and lobster trap building. Sample traditional foods such as Solomon Gundy, Herring and Potatoes, and hot smoked fish.
This is a rain or shine event. If it rains we will move inside, get cozy by the woodstove, and eat seafood! So come East for some great eats, live music and family fun.
AttractionsAccommodation Partners Lots to see and do at the Cold Waters Seafood Festival
All seafood samples are purchased using festival "Taste Tickets". Each ticket is $2 and can be used to purchase sample or sharing sized portions. All "taste" prices will be determined by the vendor according to market value at the time of the festival. Take-home “Tastes” and additional fresh product may also available from some vendors. Please note that “Tastes” purchased on Saturday are not valid on Sunday.
Skip the line-ups by purchasing a Festival Pass. Includes Memory Lane Visitor Guide, Festival Admission and 6 "Taste Tickets". All tickets will be held at the door in your name. Please note if you plan to attend Saturday or Sunday.
Avoid the drive home and instead take a refreshing walk on Clam Harbour Beach followed by a relaxing overnight with one of our accommodation partners. Avoid the line and the drive back to the city with a package that includes a weekend pass to the festival and enough “tastes” to sample a good selection of truly delicious seafood.
Support our local harvesters and producers by purchasing local, fresh products anytime. Many of our vendors have a storefront where you can purchase fresh seafood most days of the week. Whether it's lunch at a local restaurant, seafood mix for your chowder, or a bag of mussels for the road, our wild shore has it all.
